ELIS: Vienna Concert Footage Posted Online

November 23, 2007

Fan-filmed video footage of Liechtenstein-based gothic metallers ELIS performing the song "Der letzte Tag" live at Szene in Vienna, Austria on November 16, 2007 can be viewed below.

In other news, ELIS' new female singer Sandra Schleret (DREAMS OF SANITY, SIEGFRIED) has issued the following update:

"I'm just back from the tour with ELIS and ASP, and I still have to get back into my daily life again.

"The tour was really nice, lots of new impressions and experiences for me and the guys, and a lot of practice and fun (even though I had to go to bed very early every day).

"I would like to thank all the wonderful people who traveled with us — a big hug for you, you made this so very special for me, and also the wonderful people in the audience, who sometimes were quite shocked about the metal touch of our music when we started playing, but grew into it during the show."

ELIS released a new single, "Show Me the Way", on November 2 in Europe and November 6 in North America via Napalm Records. The single's title cut, which originally appeared on last year's "Griefshire" album, features lead vocals by Sandra Schleret. Also included on the single are several previously unreleased songs from the "Griefshire" recording sessions.

ELIS' previous lead singer, Sabine Dünser, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on July 7, 2006 during rehearsal and passed away the following day in hospital.

"Griefshire" was released in Europe on November 24, 2006 via Napalm Records (the U.S. received the album on January 16). The recordings for the CD were completed prior to the death of Dünser, who came up with the original concept for the album.

The follow-up to 2004's "Dark Clouds in a Perfect Sky", "Griefshire" was completed at Mastersound Studios in Stuttgart with producer Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES).
